Manchester United XI vs Real Betis: Predicted lineup, confirmed team news, injury latest for Europa League

The Red Devils are swiftly back into European action, only days after they were humiliated 7-0 by bitter rivals Liverpool at Anfield in the Premier League.

United manager Erik ten Hag is expected to name a strong starting lineup against the LaLiga side this evening, with key midfielder Casemiro crucially fit to feature after shaking off a knock sustained on Merseyside.

However, Bayern Munich loanee Marcel Sabitzer will not be involved due to injury.

Club captain Harry Maguire should come in, though Lisandro Martinez may keep his place despite a rotten afternoon against Liverpool. Aaron Wan-Bissaka and Tyrell Malacia both deserve more minutes at full-back.

Bruno Fernandes certainly has a few points to prove after an eyebrow-raising performance at Liverpool that resulted in calls for him to be banned and never wear the captain’s armband again.

He should be flanked by Jadon Sancho and Alejandro Garnacho, with Marcus Rashford completing the front four. Wout Weghorst should start on the bench, with Anthony Martial still injured.

Victor Lindelof is fit after a minor issue, though midfielders Christian Eriksen and Donny van de Beek remain long-term absentees for United.

Predicted Manchester United XI (4-2-3-1): De Gea; Wan-Bissaka, Maguire, Martinez, Malacia; Fred, McTominay; Sancho, Fernandes, Garnacho; Rashford.
